Witch's Fun

Amanda still had trouble believing she had just freed a witch by simply unbinding an old dusty book which she found buried in her backyard.

The witch thanked Amanda for freeing her, but wasn’t one to feel indebted to a mortal. After some thought, the witch gleefully proposed a pact. She would let Amanda be her companion and guide in this modern and unfamiliar world until nine evil deeds were complete.

“Evil deeds?!....What do you mean evil deeds?” exclaims Amanda alarmingly.

“Heehee, sweetie, use your imagination,” teases the Witch with a playful grin. “I could help you take revenge on your enemies for one… you know… using magic,” she continues whilst twirling her fingers and sending sparks out of her fingertips.

Amanda nods sheepishly, not fully grasping the Witch’s meaning. But soon finds herself absent-mindedly taking out a photograph from her bedroom drawer and holding it before the Witch. On the photograph is a selfie of four smiling girls.

“Them… I thought they were my friends, but… they… they made fun of me and humiliated me," blurts out Amanda with quivering lips.

“Awwww, sweet dear… don’t you worry,” says the Witch comfortingly as she reaches out and pulls Amanda in for a deep hug. “Allow me to take care of these four silly humans… why, I have just the thing in mind. We should go humiliate them right now!”

“Huh?! Now?” exclaims Amanda dumbfounded at the Witch’s remarks.

“Why yes! Now! Why delay when we can have some fun!” smirks the Witch as she waves her hands and draws runes in the air. Sparks and a blinding glow engulfs the room. Moments later, as the light and smoke dissipates, Amanda realizes both she and the Witch are now standing right in the middle of her college classroom. And lo and behold, before them were the four bullies in the flesh, looking bewildered and having not a clue how they just appeared back in class.

“These are the 4 trouble-makers, aren’t they? Hmmpf… young and foolish… but no matter…” says the Witch as she takes a turn looking over each one as her eyes light up with evil intentions. Looking over her shoulder back at Amanda momentarily, the Witch continues “…a ripe age for some training.

“Keep that picture as a token of remembrance, will you? Your friends here are going to miss their final moments of humanity, and it’d be nice to remind them once in a while of better times they had walking on twos instead of swinging from trees…”
