Zoe was excited that she was able to be one of the few to use the Urban Safari app. It seemed like everyone wanted to use it but only a few had been given the opportunity so far.
As she walked around the city, finding the different animals, she was happy to have gotten some rare animals in addition to some of the more repetitive ones.
She of course was oblivious to the fact that the pictures were changing other people.
Dang, the zoo must have had an escape or something, she thought as she saw a meerkat run past her.
Soon she decided to head back home after a long day out using the addicting app. But she soon rounded a corner and saw someone in their phone exclaim that they got a secretary bird.
"Oh, you have the Urban Safari app, too?" she asked as the person confirmed. "Maybe I'll get one of those, I still have a lot to get," Zoe told the other person before they went on their way, but not before Zoe tried to find the bird on her app.
Of course she found nothing, until she changed it to her front facing camera. There she saw something that shocked her.
It was her face, but her lips seemed more chapped and starting to push out. As it did, though, the app gave a chime, saying that she unlocked a secretary bird as well. As her beak started to form she started to freak out.
"Oh God, what's happening to me?" she squawked as feathers started to form and her feet started bulging against her sneakers. In no time flat her feet and legs were thin and scaly and her body looked more avian than anything.
Oh my God! The app! Was it transforming people all along? she thought as the feathers pushed past her head, completely changing her into the bird she had wanted to get so badly.
Soon she was picked up and transported to a zoo 200 miles away that actually had an exhibit for secretary birds. She still had her mind but now had to live the life of a bird in captivity.
