Kit Tanthalos, Agent of the Wyrm

In the aftermath of the rescue of her twin brother Airk, the warrior princess Kit Tanthalos returned to the kingdom of Tir Asleen alongside her companions…

…yet, despite the understanding that the realm’s war against the dark and corruptive forces of the Wyrm - which always seemed to seek out lackeys to seduce to serve its own malevolent purposes - was far from over, Kit welcomed the brief respite she and her friends had earned. She was also thankful to have found the blade once owned by her father, Madmartigan.

But the weapon was not the actual keepsake of her father. It was a cursed blade. A trap that had been laid by the Wyrm itself. The Blade of Wanting disguised itself as a desired item when in close proximity of a potential host, and performed as the actual blade in all aspects when wielded. It also served as a beacon for the Wyrm, however, and it also weakened Kit’s considerable willpower.

As the Wyrm was deprived of its previous assets, the Gales, and in its failure to acquire Kit’s brother as well through the now dead Crone, the Blade of Wanting had all but secured the Wyrm’s next agent of evil.

Spies within Tir Asleen disguised as royal servants tainted Kit’s beverages with the same nefarious liquid that had ensnared and corrupted Airk, and with the Wyrm’s poison coursing through her system, Kit began to change after she was unexpectedly visited by another agent of the Wyrm: Prince Graydon, the man she had once been ordained to marry, who was believed to have been killed by The Crone.

Graydon’s deceptive kiss was all it took for Kit to begin her transformation.

Her corrupted mind shunned all semblance of arms and armor, casting aside the enchanted armor suit she had used to defeat The Crone. A tail began to sprout from her spine, and a thin coat of dark gray fur covered her now agile body. Her face assumed a slightly more feline appearance, her ears mutated to furry, elf-like angles, pads developed upon her feet and her hands, the pupils of her eyes narrowed to feline slits, and upon the tips of her fingers, razor sharp talons capable of rending flesh and bone grew.

With a fanged grin, the Princess disappeared. When Willow Ufgood and his companions - among them Kit’s beloved knight-in-training, Jade - ventured forth to find their friend, they were shocked to find her terrorizing the frightened residents of a farm just outside of Tir Asleen.

Now truly an embodiment of her namesake, a grinning Kit boasted of feeling better than she had ever felt before.
