After another long day of work at Vybrylon’s administrative offices, Esther arrived back at her humble apartment and closed the door behind her. Throwing her navy blazer onto the back of the couch, she plopped herself down, letting out an exhausted sigh as she relaxed her body across its length.
No longer able to maintain the inner focus she needed for the day, Esther's relaxation immediately began to get complicated. What started with a small tingle eventually became the "normal" sensation of her torso stretching and growing longer, almost as if she was becoming a snake. Her lower body and legs were pushed off the edge of the couch and around it, her body ever-growing like some strange fleshy noodle. Even her neck tingled as it started to grow. All Esther could do was let out a defeated sigh as her body became what it has been so many times before... but there was something else she felt this time: a more pronounced tingling coursed throughout her whole body. Furthermore, she found her entire body was feeling a bit more squished on the couch than usual... as if the furniture was growing smaller.
Looking down at herself from her elongating neck, Esther let out a yelp as she discovered that not only was she elongating, but she was growing in size too!
“What’s going on?” Esther's voice quivered in shock as she felt her bones and flesh both stretch and widen. “This has never happened before!”
She grimaced and squirmed as she watched (and felt) her body unload more of itself around the couch, thickening with every metre she grew, pushing her head up even faster than normal until it hit the ceiling with a soft thud. With her head having nowhere else to go, her neck started to coil upon itself. Meanwhile, the seemingly endless stream that was her growing body filled up the small living room in no time at all.
After what felt like the longest minute of her life, the tingling finally stopped. Her lengthening followed shortly.
“Phew,” Esther sighed, relieved that it was over. “Well, I guess I’ll just... aww, shucks.”
Esther frowned as she realized she couldn’t even see the TV... or the floor... or the other chair they had! She was everywhere and triple her original size (including how thick all that elongated body of hers was). Defeated, she slumped her larger head into her coils of thick neck and closed her eyes for a nap.
